When we met, she was the beauty presenter on ITV1’s This Morning, which she did for 15 years, alongside her work as beauty editor of Hello! magazine. Now a huge YouTube star, she shares the beauty and lifestyle secrets that she’s learned over the years to thousands of subscribers. When we met I was just 21, now I am 41, her words to me then, ‘Don’t have Botox until you are 40!’ - It felt like such a long time to wait. I had heard so many good things about this ultra-discreet salon, which has become something of a mecca for high-profile clients, from actors to supermodels and media moguls, names like George and Amal Clooney, Taylor Swift, Mel C and Bryan Adams. Tucked down a picture perfect London side street, it’s the ideal location for a salon of this calibre. Although small, this salon packs an impressive punch with a roster of talented stylists assembled by co-founders Belle Cannan and John Vial, including Emmanuel Esteban, famed for his sleek and speedy blow dries, and leading hair colour specialist, Sophie MacCorquodale, favoured colourist of Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson. When I entered the salon, I was struck by the simplicity of the interior with its polished wood panelling and black leather chairs. It was sleek and unfussy and there was a sense of calm. This isn't a salon that needs to impress with gimmicks and loud music, the levels of expertise under just one roof says it all.

We could write chapters about this place but for the purpose of ease and not to overwhelm, we have decided to illustrate this experience from the days and nights spent here, starting with our first night.

They arrive at reception for their welcome drink and perfumed refresher towel in chains and a safety helmet. The 865 acre Shinta Mani Wild Bensley Collection is an all-inclusive luxury tented camp located deep in the South Cardamom National Park. The tents are more like luxury lodges. The camp has 14 one-bedroom tents (141sqm) and one two-bedroom tent (140sqm) and offers guests bespoke experiences. Its unique mode of arrival is via a double-cable 400m zipline above the forest canopy and across the Tmor Rung river and the Raging Big Sister and Middle Sister waterfalls, straight into the Landing Zone Bar where guests are greeted by their Bensley Adventure Butler and the General Manager. And a gin and tonic. Or a slug of tequila. No mocktails! Not many hotels offer such a spectacular arrival. Or the chance to confiscate a bulldozer! The five-star tent lodges have been named like The Great Conservationist (after Sir Laurens van Der Post), The Botanist’s (which is decorated with Katie Spencer botanical artwork), Gibbons (situated close and personal with a resident troop of pileated gibbons), Birders and the First Lady Jackie Kennedy which marks her visit to Cambodia in 1967.

I visited their Marylebone outpost earlier this year to meet with osteopath Michael Burrows. Before my treatment, I answered a questionnaire that gave the team an idea of my needs, health history, and any questions or concerns I wanted to address.

Before I launched VITA I never felt as though I found a place that achieved everything I wanted in my ideal fitness experience. I was inspired to create a space that encapsulated all the aspects that made me feel motivated to exercise and happy to be at the studio. That space became VITA. How would you describe VITA? VITA is a fitness boutique that offers a variety of Pilates, barre, and yoga classes as well as wellness treatments in Sloane Square. VITA aims to be a happy place for our clients as we focus on effectiveness, positivity, meaningfulness, self-indulgence, and ease. Sublime Comporta's tranquil 17-hectare estate with rice fields, sand dunes and over 60 km stretch of beach to match is what makes this haven breath-taking for holiday goers. Sublime’s natural habitat takes centre stage and with its sprawling villas along the estate, the flourishing pine trees and cork trees of which it belongs, provide ample views for much needed relinquishment. Our lodging over the two nights was in one of their Villa Room Master’s located within one of their Cabana Villas. Sublime’s concept is that each room is separate but shares a common entrance with shared access to the common spaces. Our room fit all four of us snuggly with a cot provided at the foot of our bed and a children’s bed across our king sized bed. The most attractive part about the room was certainly the views of the undulating trees, for a second we thought we were on a safari holiday, wondering when giraffes or whatever animal you’d expect on a safari would appear.
