The Luxury Insider: AIRE Ancient Baths London Review

This subterranean spa is one of London's most luxurious wellness spots.
It’s Monday morning and I’m floating in a warm salt bath surrounded by flickering candlelight and tall rustic archways under London’s ancient streets. I really am in heaven! Next, it’s time for a hot stream and some cold therapy in the plunge pool, set to 10C, before a full body massage and glass of fizz. I’ve had worse Monday mornings.
Luxury spas are my ultimate indulgence, there is nothing better...

Back to nature: low-intervention wine is no longer just a...
7th February 2023
In a not-totally-unsurprising-move, given the direction social change has been heading in for the last couple of decades, wine drinkers have been well and truly seduced by the philosophy of natural wine. It isn’t regulated and it’s not very well defined, but the idea behind it chimes with the modern desire for authentic, artisanal products made with respect for the earth and its resources. There is currently no one set of rules that natural winemakers have to follow in order to use the term. However, natural winemakers will almost certainly employ organic farming methods – no chemical fertilisers here thank you. They’ll probably have stripped their processes back to a minimum, as the pendulum has swung from years of highly industrialised intervention to simple, ancient practices. They may even follow biodynamic principles, which bring an almost spiritual element to working with the land. The dominant theme is individualism over industrialisation; character over uniformity. Natural wines celebrate the terroir, the climate, the fruit and the process – and accept the unpredictability that comes with that.

Review of The Luxury Insider Reviews Kensington MediSpa
4th February 2022
When a friend and I booked a girly birthday treat we headed straight to Kensington MediSpa for what I can only describe as one of the best facials I’ve ever experienced. The spa is positioned inside the Royal Garden Hotel, just a few minutes walk from Kensington High street tube station. The hotel itself is actually closed due to a big refurbishment and will be opening later in 2022. It’s quite hard to currently find the spa, which is down a lift into the basement - however once you enter it’s doors, it’s a million miles from the busy suburban streets above. As one of the leading skin and aesthetics clinics in town, the team at Kensington MediSpa know a thing or two about delivering TLC. They offer a range of treatments, including EMSCULPT, Strawberry Lift, HydraFacial and ELEMIS Biotech facials, using the latest industry tech to bring you real results and help you relax too.

Dr Liza Osagie-Clouard of Solice Health, private health...
8th February 2021
I am an orthopedic surgeon, trained in London and New York. I grew up as a complete Londonder and completed my PhD in bone biology here, at University College of London. Two years ago, an orthopaedic colleague of mine and myself, really saw the need for a very high end, very discreet, very efficient medical concierge, and as such Solice was born. The whole point of the company is to really bespoke health and medical for our clients. That is everything from acupuncture through to seeing a cardiologist about your heart arrhythmia.

Review of Hare & bone – a Sam Burnett salon
20th February 2018
Conveniently, the salon is located about five minutes from Oxford Circus and a short walk to Bond Street so it couldn’t be easier to get to. With my cut and colour well overdue, I was looking forward to visiting Hare and Bone for a well-needed covering of greys and trimming of split ends. As soon as I stepped through the door I knew I was in good hands, the staff were friendly and my stylist Nathan knew just what I was looking for in my colour. Despite its super sleek interior - think monochrome fittings, exposed pipes and industrial-style lighting – there is a very relaxed atmosphere and it didn’t feel at all snooty. Nathan listened patiently as I moaned about my greys and how cutting my fringe was the scariest part of any cut for me (I’m sure he’s heard it all before, but he did a good job at looking interested) before he spent a good while going through a selection of colours. We eventually settled on a glossing treatment that would give depth to my natural colour and also hide the lighter ends left over from my last trip to a salon. We also agreed to lose about an inch and a half off the ends.

Featuring Meet Cosmetic Dermatologist Natali Kelly
4th February 2017
Notably, since Kylie Jenner took over Instagram with her lip fillers and consequently made a career out of them, the want for cosmetic procedures in 18-30 year olds has increased by 64 percent in 2015. “The teen and young adult years are a highly impressionable time, and the more consumers are inundated with celebrity images via social media, the more they want to replicate the enhanced, retouched images that are passed off as reality,” Edwin Williams III, president of the AAFPRS says. However, rather than just a frivolous decision, AAFPRS members agreed that the future of facial cosmetic surgery is more emphasis on “early maintenance,” by which they mean beginning tweaks in your early twenties to ostensibly delay the need for plastic surgery down the road.

Featuring Sneak Peak: The Oscars ‘Swag Bag’ is here
10th February 2016
The fabulous people, couture outfits, high-profile events and celebrity gossip are already making it into the media. Next on our radar is possibly the most famous awards ceremony in the world. The 88th Academy Awards is set to take place on the 28th of this month and will be hosted by comedian and actor Chris Rock. Arguably the souvenir every guest would like to get their hands on is the highly renowned golden statue. However, seeing as our acting skills aren’t quite up to scratch, we've decided to turn our attention to the next best thing - the Oscar-worthy goodie bag. No A-List celebrity will go home empty handed as each will receive one of these ‘swag bags’, the ultimate metaphor for the surreal nature of the Hollywood lifestyle - this year rumoured to be worth a staggering $200,000. So what could possibly be in such a goodie bag to result in such an amount you wonder? It’s a far cry from a balloon and a slice of cake, but then again this is Hollywood, and here’s a sneak peak…
